Poems from Here, a weekly poetry program on Maine Public Radio with help from the Maine Writers & Publishers Alliance, continues for another year! This program was first created in 2017 by former Maine State Poet Laureate Stuart Kestenbaum and ran through 2021, and the 2022 reboot brought four new hosts, Maine State Poet Laureate Julia Bouwsma and fellow poets Samaa Abdurraqib, Mihku Paul, and Arisa White. Poet and MWPA Executive Director Gibson Fay-LeBlanc has since added his voice to the program.

Submission Guidelines
Poems from Here is open to all poets who live in Maine or who have spent significant time in Maine.
Please submit 3–5 poems, and include a cover letter with a brief bio.
Submissions must be made via Submittable. If you do not have a Submittable account, you will be required to register for a free account.
Poems can be previously published as long as the appropriate permissions/credit information is included.
Previously published poems may be submitted but must be noted as such.
Poems can be submitted simultaneously as long as we are notified through Submittable if a poem is no longer available for consideration.
