A 1-Day Memoir Workshop
Saturday, June 28, 10 AM - 2:30 PM*
Welcome to a collaborative poetry and low-fi printmaking workshop! Drawing on the history of concrete poetry and the work of screenprinter/text recombiner Corita Kent, this workshop offers participants an energizing and truly collaborative experience of making work that's both writing and visual art. We gather words from our surroundings and daily lives, use these to make stencils, and then collaboratively print poems that can be installed in public places. Some prints will travel on to other workshops to be layered with others' language.
No prior printmaking or poetry experience is necessary; all adults are welcome.
*There will be a 30-minute lunch break (bring your own!).
$120 Members/$175 Nonmembers
