A 1-Day Online Business of Writing Workshop
Saturday, August 23, 10 AM - 12 PM
Audiobooks are all about access—they’re a way of getting your words into the hands (or ears) of people who have physical limitations that prevent reading words on a page, or for people who like to multitask, or for people who just prefer an auditory experience. But not every publisher is willing to invest in an audiobook. The process of creating your own audio can be intimidating, but author Jennifer Dupree and narrator Elena Anderson are here to demystify the process. We’ll cover questions about publishing rights (Does your publisher have the rights to your audiobook even though they don’t intend to produce one? How can you get them back?), process (How do you find a narrator? What kind of questions should you ask? How long does it take to get the finished product? How much does it cost?), platforms (How do you get your audiobook distributed? How much can you expect to make from it?), and much more.
