THE WORKSHOP
As adult daughters, many of us struggle with our relationships to our mothers. We can be attached to mother/daughter stories carved from wounded memories, but which fail to take into account the objective reality of our mothers’ lives. Our struggles can last for decades, and even persist after our mothers have died.

In this workshop, participants will be guided through short writing exercises that help them see their mothers as they saw themselves, through the lens of the culture of their times, and especially through the lens of the family each grew up in. Discovering a new “mother story” can empower a daughter to make peace with her mother, or with her memory.

*Appropriate for adult daughters of all ages, whether their mothers are living or deceased. Please bring a photo of your mother and/or a small memento of her.
